Official Fall

ok, peeps.  I can’t deny it, and I won’t pretend to be something I’m not - today was a big day, and I was NOT disappointed.  It is not officially fall til my shows start up again — they did so tonight, and they did not disappoint.  It was SO worth the wait!  I don’t have any interesting stories, and I don’t have any cute pictures, but I let’s face it - the new seasons of The Office & Grey’s Anatomy TOTALLY warrant a post.  If you don’t watch these shows, you are missing out, and I am sorry to hear it.  ha ha - but SERIOUSLY some good tube time tonight.  Bjorn and I had some friends over, and we may have created a monster - this might become a Thursday night ritual!

Anyways, not too much else exciting, though another reason today was a big day - Los Angeles is proud to announce it has finally caught up with the midwest (soooo backwards) and opened an H&M store.  It’s in Pasadena, so it’s a bit of a hike - but you better believe Annie and I already have our trip mapped out (not the first weekend, not on ANY weekend, during the week, it’s not as busy and they’ve gotten a truck with replenishment from Saturday and Sunday sales).  And that is about the extent of the excitement.  Hooray for a short Friday - at 1 pm I am off and no plans but poolside.  It’s cooled off a bit, but still warm enough for me!  TTFN.

Back To School…..

Hello!  Well, Bjorn and I have been on a whirlwind over the last two weeks, and though it has been TONS of fun, I think we are both pretty anxious to get back to a normal life pattern.  Acutally, the whole summer fell under the “way too crazy” category.  I always thought that was a midwest thing - i.e. ’squeeze everything in before it gets too cold and you watch movies all winter’ — but I am now realizing it is universal.  Cold winter or no, summer is the time to go on vaca, blow off cleaning the house, and get tan.  We did a lot of all those things.  :)  When I looked at the pics we have taken over the last few weeks though, I realized that we really did see summer out a high note!  Here’s what all happened…..

**My sister Daryl moved to So Cal to begin college…..So exciting for both of us to live in the same state, FINALLY!  (She’s attending Azusa Pacific University - which is about 30 minutes from Bjorn and me.  Judy, Bjorn’s mom also works there!)

**Randomly (?), Sarah Miller began her freshman year at APU this year also.  Sarah’s mom, Sandi, was my bible study leader in H.S. — Sandi just means sooo much to me!  We got to see all the Millers, which is a BIG deal, because they are full time missionaries in Ecuador.  It was wonderful to catch up with Sandi…..

**Daryl started off her first weekend of college with a bang - she landed herself in the ER!!!! Poor sis!  She is ok, but there was a chance it was appendicitis, so you gotta go in.  She was supposed to be officially ‘on her own’ at 2 pm on Sunday — but instead she was here (she was a super trooper!) :

Appendicitis?

**Our closet collapsed :(

**We attended an Angels game (make that the “Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim” (can we make that a more complex team name?), and sat in great seats!!!

And so ends Summer ‘06.  Bjorn has a week and a half of his second year under his belt.  So far so good!  Until next time…..
